The day after my birthday Noah and I went out the campsite where my parents were staying for a second round of visiting. I loved biking the trails and checking out the sunset at the lake. Noah loved the smores and the dog park.

| So relaxing! |
| Hey mom, I'm not sharing this. |

The first week of October was homecoming week at school which is always a fun and chaotic week. It ended Friday after school with the annual parade which always features an obscene amount of candy. Despite the rain, Noah was still thrilled to go. And students were more than happy to shower him with all the candy he could ever want. I'm pretty sure I filled my bag to the top by the time we left.
Then the next morning we went to Appleberry farm with a bunch of families from daycare. I love that our daycare organizes these fun events to get all the kiddos together.

| Candy grab! |
| Happiest boy ever! |
| Just a couple of dudes that love apples. |
| I think this apple was his third...?...fourth? |
| Oh, those nutty Parkers. |
| Checking out the chickens with friends! |
| Apple cider doughnuts are the best! Nope, not sharing. |

The middle of the month was lots of grading, prepping for Noah's birthday and Halloween, and some crafty projects. Here are the pics...
| This is what my Sunday afternoons look like... #teacherlife |
| Made this for Noah's birthday...it's actually easier to make than it looks! |
| Autographing birthday invites! |
| Terrifying. |
| This was a good day! My Birchbox (monthly subscription box of beauty samples- it's a fun thing to look forward to each month) and Book-of-the-Month book (another monthly subscription- awesome birthday present from Carrie!) arrived on the same day. |
| We've continued going to coffee after church on Sundays. It's one of my favorite parts of the week. Plus, the coffee art is awesome. :) |
| These guys are the best. |
| Making lotion bars... new hobby?! |
| Noah has developed a serious love of sunsets. We have to go check it out pretty much every night. |
| And this night had a rainbow too! |
| WHAT is Jordan working on?? Hmmm... |
And finally, the last week of October was FULL of birthday fun at home, Noah's party (this year including friends from daycare for the first time!), and Halloween celebrations! Noah was on a sugar high all week and loved every minute. On his actual birthday, he had a fun and full day at daycare and then celebrated at home with family in the evening.
| And just like that... we have a 3 year old! |
| So many presents... this kid is so loved. |
| And so many new books to read! |
| And a big surprise from Grandpa Brad! |
| Reading with Grandma Mary Jo is the best! |
| Time for birthday cake! |
| Oh Keith. |
| Birthday cake and ice cream |
| This is three. |
| This is the face Noah makes when someone is blowing up a balloon. It is beyond adorable. |
The day after Noah's birthday, it was time to go trick or treating at Epic! They have a great, organized time for families to come and go office to office. Jordan put in lots of work making robot costumes and they turned out so well. Could these guys be any cuter? Noah was so much more confident this year with trick or treating and was ready to visit every office we could. I'm pretty sure he would have stayed all night if we'd let him!
| Robot family! |
| Ahhh! Robot attack! |
| This kiddo. <3 |
| Two robots and a mad scientist. Sounds about right. |
| Melts my heart. |
And the NEXT day, it was time for Noah's birthday party! He had a nice, relaxing morning with his grandmas at the library before the excitement of the afternoon. We were so happy that so many friends were able to come celebrate with him and I know he felt very special.
| Showing grandma how to cook at the library- Noah is a expert and was happy to share his skills. |
| Time to party! Just a bunch of birthday monkeys hanging around! |
| They all had so much fun running, climbing, swinging, playing games, chasing, and just loving life. It was great chaos. |
| Playing hide-and-seek, best hiding place ever! |
| Birthday buddies! Those hats. <3 |
| So many books! Lucky boy! |
| And a birthday bath. This is a happy kiddo. |
And at the end of the month... Halloween! Carrie shared some extra spooky glowsticks at school that totally impressed our students (I'm sure they think we're so cool!), and then Noah and Jordan went out trick or treating with friends in the evening while I stayed home and handed out candy. We had more kids visit this year than any other, but I'm pretty sure Noah brought home at least as much candy as I handed out. And that's it for October!
| I have the best colleagues that make work so fun! |
| What do this ladybug, bumblebee, grim reaper, and robot have in common? They're the best kiddos ever. |
| Look out, Noah! |
